Winnie the Witch lived in a black house in the forest.
温妮女巫住在树林里一栋黑色的房子里。
The house was black on the outside and black in the inside.
房子从里到外都是黑的。
The carpets were black.

The chairs were black.

The bed was black and it had black sheets and black blankets.
床、床单和毯子都是黑的。
Even the bath was black.
甚至浴缸也是黑的。
Winnie lived in her black house with her cat, Wilbur.
温妮和一只叫威尔伯的黑猫住在一起。
He was black too.And that is how the trouble began.
他也是黑的。问题就来了。
When Wilbur sat on a chair with his eyes open, Winnie could see him.
She could see his eyes, anyway.
当威尔伯坐在椅子上睁着眼的时候，温妮可以看到他。因为她能看到他的眼睛。
But when Wilbur closed his eyes and went to sleep,
Winnie could't see him at all.So she sat on him.
但是当威尔伯闭上眼睛睡觉时。温妮就找不到他了。所以她坐到了他身上。
When Wilbur sat on the carpet with his eyes open, Winnie could see him.
She could see his eyes, anyway.
当威尔伯闭眼趴在毯子上时，温妮可以看到他。反正她能看到他的眼睛。
But when Wilbur closed his eyes and went to sleep, Winnie could't see him at all.So she tripped over him.
但是当威尔伯闭上眼睡觉时，温妮就完全看不到他。所以她被他绊倒。
One day, after a nasty fall, Winnie decided something had to be done.
一天，在午睡过后，温妮决定要做些什么。
She picked up her magic wand, waved it once and ABRACADABRA!
她念动咒语，拿起魔杖挥动起来。
Wilbur was a black cat no longer.
威尔伯不再是一只黑猫了。
He was bright green!
他变成了亮绿色。
Now, when Wilbur slept on a chair, Winnie could see him.
现在当威尔伯睡在椅子上时，温妮可以看到他。
When Wilbur slept on the floor, Winnie could see him.
当威尔伯睡在地板上时，温妮可以看到他。
Now, when Wilbur slept on a chair, Winnie could see him.

When Wilbur slept on the floor, Winnie could see him.

And she could see him when he slept on the bed.

But, Wilbur was not allowed to sleep on the bed...

... so Winnie put him outside.

Out side in the grass.
外面的草坪上。
Winnie came hurrying outside, tripped over Wilbur,turned three somersaults, and fell into a rose bush.
温妮紧忙跑出去，被威尔伯绊倒了，翻了三个跟头，然后掉进了玫瑰丛里。
When Wilbur sat outside in the grass,
当威尔伯坐在草地上
Winnie couldn't see him,
温妮看不到他，
even when his eyes were wide open.
甚至是他撑着眼睛时。
This time, Winnie was furious.
这时，温妮非常愤怒。
She picked up her magic wand, waved it five times and ...
当拿去魔棒，挥舞了五次……
...ABRACADABRA!
（咒语）
Wilbur had a red head, a yellow body, a pink tail, blue whiskers,and four puple legs.But his eyes were still green.
威尔伯有一个红色的头，黄色的身子，粉色的尾巴，蓝色的胡须，紫色的四肢，但是他的眼睛仍是绿的。
Now, Winnie could see Wilbur when he sat on a chair,when he lay on the carpet, when he crawled into the grass.
现在温妮可以看到威尔伯无论他是坐在椅子上，趴在地摊上还是草地上。
And even when he climbed to the top of the tallest tree.
甚至是他爬到最高的树上。
Wilbur climbed to the top of the tallest tree to hid.
威尔伯爬上最高的树藏起自己。
He looked ridiculous and he knew it.
他知道他看上去很荒唐。
Even the birds laughed at him.
连鸟都笑话他。
Wilbur was miserable.
威尔伯很痛苦。
He stayed at the top of the tree all day and all night.
他在树上待了整晚。
Next morning Wilbur was still up the tree.
第二天早上威尔伯仍然在树上。
Winnie was worried.
温妮非常着急。
She loved Wilbur and hated him to be miserable.
她很爱威尔伯不希望他痛苦。
Then Winnie had an idea.
然后温妮想到了个主意。
She waved her magic wand and
她挥动魔杖念动咒语。
ABRACADABRA!
Wilbur was a black cat once more.
威尔伯又变回了一只黑猫。
Then Winnie waved her wand again, and again, and again.
然后Winnie一次次挥动魔杖。
Now instead of a black house, she had a yellow house with a red roof and a red door.
现在，她用黄色房子红色的屋顶代替了黑色的房子。
The chairs were white with red and white cusshion.
The carpet was green with pink rosed.
椅子是白的上面是红白的坐垫。
地毯是绿色的上面有粉色的玫瑰。
The bed was blue, with pink blankets.
The bath was a gleaming white.
And now, Winnie can see Wilbur no matter where he sits.
床是蓝的枕头是粉的。
浴缸是洁白的。
现在，不管威尔伯在哪儿温妮都可以看到了。
